Folium Gin is amongst a smaller group of Gin’s that are distilled from a grape based alcohol and we use the Malvasia Fina grape to produce our alcohol as well as using it as one of the botanicals in our distillation.

Our final blend contains nine different botanicals and to create our flavour we combine the key elements of a great Gin, like Juniper with both Green tea, White tea and the Malvasia Fina grape together with goji berries, verbena and star anise.

This gives Folium Gin a distinct flavour that combines herbal tones with a floral freshness and tangy fruitiness to deliver a smooth and complex taste with a lasting spiced finish

Messias was founded in 1926 and is still run by the descendants of the family. They are known for producing and selling high quality wines and for the high quality of its method and ageing. Messias Extra Dry White Port has a golden colour, with notes to wood and delicate dry fruits, pinions, as well as a mild floral to roses.

Botanicals: Juniper, Malvasia Fina grape, Bai Mu Dan (white tea), Huangshan Maofeng (green tea), Goji Berries, Peppermint, Rosemary, Verbena and Star Anise.

Malvasia Fina Grape

Malvasia Fina is a grape of inland northern Portugal, especially the Douro, Dão and Beira Interior regions. Malvasia Fina wines are subtle, not too intense, fresh and moderately complex. They have hints of molasses, a suggestion of beeswax and nutmeg and can appear slightly smoky.
