Cocktails

Everyone has their own way to enjoy Folium Gin and you have kindly shared many of your favourites with us. We have selected a few and combined these with some recommendations of our own, including a special recommendation from the grandfather of Braga our partner and viticulturist.

A favourite of the team

  • 1 measure Folium Gin
  • Slightly sweet red grapes
  • Black pepper corns
  • Sprig of Rosemary
  • Fever Tree Mediterranean tonic

Fill your glass with ice and add one measure of Folium Gin. Take two grapes half them and pinch them over the ice before adding them to the glass. Add 3-4 black pepper corns and fill with tonic. Stir to combine flavours and garnish with a sprig of rosemary.

A classic combination

  • Folium Gin
  • Fever Tree Tonic
  • Lemon twist
  • A good handful of Ice

Fill a glass with ice

Add two measures of Folium Gin, and fill glass to top with Fever tree tonic.

Finish with a lemon twist

Braga's Folium & White Port

Passed down through three generations

  • Folium Gin
  • S. Leonardo White Port
  • Tonic Water
  • Orange Peel
  • A good handful of ice

Fill a glass with ice

Add one measure of Folium Gin, one measure of S. Leonardo White port.

Fill with tonic, stir lightly and add a wedge or lime and an orange twist

Gin Daisy

The perfect Pink Gin

  • Folium Gin
  • Grenadine
  • Lemon juice
  • Caster sugar
  • Orange slice & sprig of mint
  • A good handful of Ice
  • Broken ice
  • A cocktail shaker

Half-fill the cocktail shaker with ice cubes

Add two measures of Folium gin, one measure of lemon juice, half a teaspoon of caster sugar and one teaspoon of grenadine. Shake well and pour into a glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with orange slice and mint.

Dragonfly

Refreshing and Zesty

  • Folium Gin
  • Ginger Ale
  • Lime wedge
  • A  good handful of Ice

Fill a glass to the top with ice cubes.

Pour in one measure of Folium Gin and four measures of Ginger Ale

Top up with a wedge of lime

Bernardo

  • Folium Gin
  • Cointreau
  • Lemon Juice
  • Bitters
  • Lemon twist
  • A good handful of Ice
  • A cocktail shaker

Half fill the shaker with ice cubes.

Add two measures of Folium Gin, half a measure of Cointreau, two teaspoons of lemon juice and two dashes of bitters.

Shake well and then strain into a cocktail glass. Garnish with the lemon twist.

Negroni

An Italian favourite

  • Folium Gin
  • Campari
  • Martini Rosso
  • Slices of orange (round)
  • Ice
  • A cocktail shaker

Put a handful of ice cubes into the cocktail shaker, and add equal measures of Folium Gin, Campari and Red Vermouth.

Once all measures are in the cocktail shaker stir/meddle with the cocktail spoon to mix together.

Take a chilled short glass and pour the Negroni into the glass garnish with a slice of orange and a small cocktail stirrer.

Vesper Martini

  • Folium Gin
  • Vodka
  • Martini Extra Dry
  • Lemon Peel
  • A cocktail shaker

In a cocktail shaker, combine Folium gin with the vodka, and dry vermouth.

Shake well and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.

Garnish with a large piece of lemon peel. Serve and enjoy.

  • Orange juice
  • Ginger ale
  • A handful of ice
  • A cocktail shaker

Put a handful of ice cubes into the cocktail shaker, and add two measures of Folium Gin, half a measure of Campari and one teaspoon of Grenadine.

Once all measures are in the cocktail shaker, shake well.

Take a tall glass and pour in, top-up the glass with Ginger ale.
